VEX Robot
Description
Every machine that is controlled by a computer bases every operation on data and instructions that were designed by an engineer, technician, or end user. Designers must think through every contingency and all that can go wrong. In addition safeguards must be in place so that people and equipment are not damaged.
Conclusion Questions
1. The most difficult part of the project was the arm. We had trouble figuring out how to create it to where it moves smoothly. Even now, once we fixed it, the robot is still a little rough in rotating.
2. Two features that would've helped greatly were an extra piece of metal and a larger gear. The metal could have been placed under the base in order for the machine not to bend and warp. The gear could've been put off the first motor to control the base better.
